Good Morning Room 4

Just a short post today as I will be in school getting ready.

Writing

Your task today is to find things around your house that begin with the letters of the alphabet and make a list. Starting with a and ending with z.

Example; 

A=apple 

B=board game 

C=computer

Today your job is to write the middle sound of these words. The pictures will help you to figure out the words.

Maths

Here are some additions facts to 10. Your challenge is to see how fast you can solve them. You may like to use a timer. Remember you can use your fingers or counters to help you.

 Good Morning Room 4

Firstly if you didn't do yesterday's post it would be great to do it as it was a fun crazy wacky one.

Fitness

Ok I have 2 workouts that are full on but I know you can do it :)

Now that you are all warmed up let's get into some learning.

Maths

Here are some basic facts. They are the same ones we have been working on this week.

Story

Here is a story about Pete the cat going camping

Here is an idea, why not camp in your living room!!! 

First you need to clear a space in your living room where you could put a tent up or use some chairs and put a blanket over the top.

Make sure you have lots of pillows and blankets to sit on. If you have sleeping bags you could use them too.

Make sure you have your favourite toys join you and some great books to read.

Here is a fort my boys made the other day.

Here is one of my favourite stories about a picnic that went bad

For writing today I want you to pretend you are going on a picnic with your family. 

Can you list all the foods and drinks you would bring on your picnic. Don't forget the picnic blanket.

Now back to making your fort or campsite :)

My example;

One day I was driving along when I hit a rock. My car flew through the air and landed in a tree. How am I going to get down?

I was sitting in my house when I heard a smash. I looked up and I saw 2 giraffes. Ahhhh I screamed.

Remember to use;

full stop

finger spaces

listen to your sounds

Today we are going to work on number before, number after, and number between up to 20. The last 2 columns are subtraction facts and addition facts.

Remember you can use objects (buttons, coins etc) or your fingers to help you work them out.
