Beautiful birds in the bush.
Look at our art that we finished today. We used vivid and dye to draw and colour our birds and now they are happily in the forest that we made for them!

Arty fun - Watch this space!
We had fun on Wednesday getting started on our new Art project.
It is not finished yet but we enjoyed working on the first stage.
We collected leaves and sticks from the playground and used these to make prints on paper that we had already dyed brown.

Friday's lesson
Since it is our last day of term today's post will be a short one.
Writing
Your task today is to find things around your house that begin with the letters of the alphabet and make a list. Starting with a and ending with z.
Example;
A=apple
B=board game
C=computer
Phonics
Your job is to write the middle sound of these words. The pictures will help you to figure out the words. They are our vowels 'a, e, i, o, u'
Maths
Here are some additions facts to 10. Your challenge is to see how fast you can solve them. You may like to use a timer. Remember you can use your fingers or counters to help you.
Another way is for an adult or older brother or sister to call them out for you to answer.
Reading
Remember to read or be read to everyday

Ok I have 2 workouts that are full on but I know you can do it :)
Now that you are all warmed up let's get into some learning.
Maths
Here are some basic facts. They are the same ones we have been working on this week.
Egg Check in

RUBBER EGG EXPERIMENT
YOU WILL NEED:
- Raw Eggs
- Household Vinegar
- Jar/Vase
SET UP:
STEP 1: Place an egg in the jar and cover with vinegar. You can color the vinegar for rainbow-colored rubber eggs too!
STEP 2: Wait and watch!
Notice the bubbles on the eggshell! This is the acid in the vinegar reacting with the calcium carbonate in the shell. This reaction is producing a gas called carbon dioxide!
STEP 3: After 48 hours, remove the egg and rinse it off. Ours had a layer of brown scum that was easily washed away! The hard outer shell is gone and the egg white and yolk are surrounded by a thin membrane.

Now for the fun part, bouncing the egg.
Start off low and then see how high you can drop/bounce it.

Here is an idea, why not camp in your living room!!!
First you need to clear a space in your living room where you could put a tent up or use some chairs and put a blanket over the top.
Make sure you have lots of pillows and blankets to sit on. If you have sleeping bags you could use them too.
Make sure you have your favourite toys join you and some great books to read.

For writing today I want you to pretend you are going on a picnic with your family.
Can you list all the foods and drinks you would bring on your picnic. Don't forget the picnic blanket.
