Tuesday's lesson
Fitness
Here is some farm fitness
Maths
Remember you can use objects (buttons, coins etc) or your fingers to help you work them out.
Basic Facts
We are learning to instantly remember the answers to basic subtraction problems.
Here are some new ones.
Start at the first column. If that was easy move to the next column. If you would like a challenge use a timer. See how quickly you can complete each column!
Another challenge is to complete them without using your fingers.
Writing
Today for writing I want you to think of your favourite sandwich.
What toppings would you have inside it?
Would you have any sauces on it?
First, draw a picture of it.
Next you are going to tell me what you would have in your sandwich.
My example;
In my sandwich I would have chicken, lettuce and avocado. I would put mayonnaise on top. Yummy.
Remember to use;
a capital letter
full stop
finger spaces
listen to your sounds
Phonics
Can you be a super spy and work out these words. You need to write down the beginning letter/sound for each word.
Reading
Remember to read or be read to everyday
Story
Here is your story today, another one of the boys favourites. Listen carefully and get ready to answer some questions from the story.
Can you answer the following questions about this story.
Questions;
1. How many diggers were in the story?
2. What were they digging when the digger go stuck?
3. What was the weather like?
4. When did the drivers say they were going to be back?
5. What would be another way to get all the diggers out of the mud?
I spy challenge
Can you find all the hidden things?
Weekly Challenge
Your challenge is to take a photo of anything. Something in your house, your bedroom, outside.
Then email it to me with your parents help (lisar@owairaka.school.nz) with a sentence about what it is and why you took the photo.
I will pop it up on the blog so the class can see.
Take care Room 4
