On a Friday we buddy read with our class buddy.

Swimming

We have loved swimming in the pool.

We have been practising entering the pool safely, blowing bubbles, going under the water, kicking and swimming with the boards.

Swimming - Room 4 & 5

Swimming All Week 

22nd-26th February

Room 4 & 5 will be swimming everyday with swim coaches.

Everyday (M,T,W,Th,F) with Swimming Instructors at 11:55-12:25

We will keep togs at school and dry them daily.

You will need to bring your:

• Swimming togs

• Towel 

• And a bag

                         This week did a Taonga Hunt.

We had to hunt around the school for some Owairaka Schools treasures.

We had a lot of fun looking for our school treasures.

Each treasure had a letter, when we put all the letters together it spelt;

                              'In Our Backyard'

This is our overarching school theme

Play-Based Learning

On  Fridays we join up with Room 5 to read our poems, buddy read, explore and discover together.

We really enjoyed this time with Room 5.

Writing

We did some writing about our holiday. We have published it and it is up on the wall. 

Please come in and have a look. The children are very proud of their work.

I am really excited to get to know my Room 4 learners and families over the next few weeks.

This year our school theme is 

In Our Backyard

There is no place like home.

Important information:

*School starts at 8:55, classrooms are open from 8:30.

*Remember to bring a named hat to school every day.

*Please bring a named water bottle to school every day.

Swimming

Room 4 will be swimming on Wednesdays and Fridays.

You will need your:

Swimming togs

Towel 

And a bag

Please make sure your child has clothes they can easily change in and out of.
