Wow what a fun start to Term 2

It was so nice to see all the children back after our holiday.

Shapes

This week we have been learning about shapes.

We are learning the names of shapes, how to draw them and how many sides they have.

Fairy Judy

Fairy Judy came to give out some certificates and some prizes to children who had completed their holiday reading log.

Footsteps Dance - lesson one

On Thursday we had our first dance lesson with our teacher Emma. 

We learnt a dance called 'Hot, hot, hot'

We really enjoyed learning/doing all the moves.

Play based learning with Room 5

We loved getting back into playing with Room 5. We had a lot of fun outside with the marbles and the rocks.

Back into buddy reading on a Friday

Science with our buddy class

On Friday we got to do a science experiment with our Buddy class Room 16.

We did the Skittles science experiment.

We arrange the Skittles around the edge of the plate. Then we poured warm water to cover all the Skittles. Then we watched and waited as a rainbow appeared on our plates, the colours all moved towards the middle and created a whirl of colours. Afterwards we drew a picture of what happened. Maybe you could try this at home?
