 Zoo Trip

Wow what an amazing day we had at Auckland zoo.

We were so lucky with the weather.

Here are some photos from our fantastic day.

PJ taught us all about meerkats

He also taught us a lot about giraffes-did you know a giraffes tongue is blue?

We saw some giraffes

The monkeys were having lots of fun showing off to us

We didn't see the tiger but Stripes had fun at the zoo

We also didn't see the orangutans-but here are some little monkeys

 

After lunch we had fun on the playground

We saw a seal

Here we are on the scary bridge-it moved!!!

Room 4 loved seeing the cheetahs

We were so excited to see the elephant

We loved seeing the female lions

There was a very lazy Rhino

The best part was seeing the meerkats and crawling through the tunnels

Matariki

We enjoyed celebrating Matariki this week.

Matariki Breakfast

On Thursday we celebrated Matariki with a shared breakfast. Room 4 and 5 were able to make some toast. Then we spread some yummy strawberry jam on top.

This week at Te Reo we learnt about Matariki and the 9 stars. Thanks Whaea Kristie for teaching us
