Author visit

We got to start our Tuesday with a special visitor.......Kath Bee. 

She writes books and loves to sing and dance. 

She has a new story called 'Dougal the dancing Kakapo'. 

We were lucky enough to have her read it to us. 

Room 4 also loved her book called 'Dragons under my bed'

Cricket

We were excited to have 1 more lesson of cricket.

We learnt the best way to catch a ball;

-palms together

-hands open

-fingers spread

-eyes on the ball

Diwali

We celebrated Diwali by making some Rangoli patterns.

Welcome back to Term 4.

We have a very busy Term with lots of exciting activities planned.

Niue Language Week

This week we celebrated Niue Language week.

We learnt;

-Where Niue is in the world and in relation to New Zealand

-It is a very small country compared to New Zealand

-What colours the Niue flag is

-How to count to 10

Fairy Judy

We were so excited to see Fairy Judy.

Well Done to everyone who read in the holidays, completed their reading log and brought it back.

Cricket Fun

This week we got to have 2 lessons with some cricket coaches.

We really enjoyed trying to hit the wickets over.

Athletics

This term we will be working on our athletics skill. 

This will include;

-high jump

-shot put

-sprints

-sack races

-long jump

-discus

-hurdles

-relays
