We have make some beautiful kites to celebrate Matariki. We used paint, pastel crayons and wooden sticks to weave. They are hanging up in our classroom, and we are very proud of them.
But....we wanted to fly some kites!
So today we made kites with paper and straws and string. We used our own ideas design and decorate our kites. It was so much fun taking them out on the field to fly. We were grateful that it was a windy afternoon, perfect for kite flying!
