Thursdays lesson

Today is Thursday 13th August 2020

Can you say it out loud to someone in your family?

Fitness

Here is a fitness exercise that will get your heart pumping.

Now that you are all warmed up lets watch this story

Writing

Today for writing you are going to answer this question;

Would you climb up the beanstalk?

You have to answer yes or no and tell me why. That means we have to use the word because.

My example;

Yes I would climb up the beanstalk because I would want to see what is at the top.

Remember to use;

a capital letter

full stop

finger spaces

listen to your sounds

use the word because

I would love to hear your answers and your reasons. Remember you can email me lisar@owairaka.school.nz

Can you match up the correct sentence to the correct picture.

To finish off our Jack and the Beanstalk theme can you draw Jacks house, the beanstalk and the castle.

Here is a video of how to do it.

Maths

This week is Maths Week. Let's continue on with our daily money challenge. See if you can get $100. Each question is worth $20.

How much money did you win?

Reading

Here are you sight words to practise.

A lot of you are onto new coloured sight words. Please email me if you are unsure what colour you are on.

You are trying to say it faster than the person in the video.

Remember to read tonight or have someone read to you and don't forget to fill out your reading log.

Here are some outdoor learning ideas you could do with your brother/sister/family.

Stay safe Room 4 and remember to be kind!

Love from Mrs Romaniuk
