Hiwi the Kiwi

Hiwi the Kiwi

On Monday morning we started the day by seeing an amazing show called 'Hiwi the Kiwi'.

The show looked at how to be safe on the water, and how to make correct choices when fishing. We got to sing songs, answer questions, laugh and we learnt so much.

Some of the things we learnt were;

*Always WEAR a life jacket, don't just put it in the boat.

*Throw little fish back gently as they are too small.

*Throw big fish back gently as they may have babies.

*Put fish on salt ice.

*Always measure fish to make sure they are the right size.

*When fishing have a water gun with you so you can shoot water at the seagulls.

*Always use a wet cloth when touching fish.

It was such a great show and our very own Jack got to go up onstage to answer a question and win a sticker. Well done Jack!!!

Here are some videos and photos of the show - Enjoy
