Week 8

Week 8
Only 2 weeks left. This week we have started 'Cultural Groups' these run on a Thursday and Friday-last block.

We also have a new student in Room 14, his name is Tiare. Please introduce yourself when you see him.

We started our week by inviting Room 3 over to hear our 'What am I' writing.
Room 14 enjoyed reading out their work (from a powerpoint) and then asking Room 3 to guess what animal it could be.
Thanks for coming over Room 3

Reading time activities

Happy Birthday Ian, you are a big 6 year old now!!!

We enjoyed Maori language week this week.
We have been learning how to count, know our body parts, and colours in Maori. We have enjoyed learning these through songs.
We have also been doing some Koru Art. Come and check these out, they look amazing-well done Room 14.

Check out our new blackboard. We can't wait to use this. Thank you Peter for painting this onto our classroom.

Muffin Day

Well done Eli for getting a certificate at assembly this week.
Keep up the great reading.

News time

Handwriting this week was the letter 'k'
Here we are doing our handwriting rotation.

Check out this fantastic letter k handwriting.
Well done guys.

Buddy reading time

We were able to squeeze a little bit of discovery time in. Some children enjoyed using the new chalkboard.
